Prodigal son

Hi, every one;

It was sad that Uncle Mike was passing.  It was glad that he did not suffer any more because he went home.  We pray for his family that they have the spirit and peace with them.
Last three weeks we did not have any miracle yet.  We only had one pair of Missionary and one couple senior Missionary served this area.  We welcomed our new Mission President and sister Simon and fare welled  to President and sister Mains.  On August 3 to 5, 2015 we shall go down to Singapore for the Zone Conference, then we shall meet our new Mission President.
One family moved back from Jorhor Bahru recently,we helped them moved to a new place.  One daughter and two younger brothers will register to schools.  The first school day that we should take them to school then found out that there were not any school until next Wednesday.  We shall go again.  The parents visited the employment office and apply for a job.  Many jobs are open everywhere but they required some education.
Yesterday, I listed the April conference talk which was gaven by Elder Neilsen-- waiting the prodigal son.  The family members  love her and care of her.  She got invited by the family members to all family events.  Such as birthday parties, baptism, Mission departure,graduation, wedding, wedding............They know that she will be back in the fold. Left the 99 sheep and to looking the lost one.  The ten silver coins story.  If we have faith with our Lord Jesus Christ, the lost one will eventually found.  We need patience and love for the lost one.
Teaching by the President Benson is a wonderful book, I loved every Chapter and learn a lot because I teach the Priesthood lesson.  Children please pay attention to all teaching by the Church.  You will learn the Gospel in you life.

We love you and wish you well.We love to read your letter and pictures.
Thank you.

Baptism dresses

Hi, every one;

Last Monday, we got the new Apartment keys and started to move some items to the new Apartment.  Even though it was two floors different, but there was two hundred feet walk distance from our old Apartment to the elevator.  We borrowed a hand cart from a member that they just brought it and hasn't used yet.  Little by little, Elder and sister Mah went and forth many times.  There is only two Elders in our Branch.  The other set of Elders that one went home, and another transferred to KL area.  They did not come to help today.  The Air condition crew took out the air condition unit which the Church installed for us.
Last Tuesday, we moved the two heavy desks and suit cases.  Two Elders came to move the book shelf.
Wednesday, the Church cleaning crew came in,  we found out that we had many things had over looked.  The crew patched the holes and printed them over.  All things were in good condition or even better than before,  They did a wonderful work.
We had shopped for baptism dressesl tor three sisters (mother and two daughters).At last we decided to make our own.  We bought 6.5 meters  white cloth and three white T-shirts.  We made three skirts.  It took three days to get the work done.
On Saturday at 2:30 PM, Elder Lallemant baptized sister Paramaswari D/O Subramnian and sister Bavani D/O Manokarian.  Elder Ebeling baptized sister Durga Devi D/O Manokarian.
Three investigators  and 16 members attended this baptism.  We severed refreshment after the baptism.  It was a wonderful baptism.
Four more investigators will be ready to baptize too.  We pray for them that they will be ready.

Santosar Beach

Hi every one;
After the Singapore Zone Conference and Kuala Lumpur District
Conference in two weeks from Southern then to Northern,  we finally
settle down in Melaka again.  Three sets of senior couple and
President and Sister Mains will go home in July 1, we visited the
Santosar Beach in Singapore on Monday afternoon,  the beach were great
for swimming and beach activities.  The children will enjoy the water
park.  Some one will enjoy the suspended bridge and the indoor sky
diving, under water aquarium, universal studio, tramp ride....... We
only had time to visited the beach this time and will visit the other
area next time.  We touched and inspired by the missionaries who bore
their testimonies before going home.  Many of us felt our eyes wetter.
We felt that the missionary work of Jesus Christ will move forward on
the earth without any doubt.
We may move to another unit in the same complex in June.  We have to
wait and the Mission Housing Department will tell us what is the
decision from them.  It will move up two story.  There will be more
views to see because we live on 8 floor.

How are you doing?  We couldn't believe this is June already.  USA had
a water shortage problem.  How does it affect you?  There are some
strawberry on the store, but the price are high too.  Therefore, we
will wait when we come home.

5/11 Mothers Day

Dear Every one;

Mothers' day had gone yesterday.  Mom got a single rose.  Sunday was our Fast and testimony week because we had a Multi-Stake Broadcasting in Asia Area.  After the Sacrament service,  we were  broadcasting the program.  Elder Nelson was presiding, and was conducting by Elder Wilson.

On May 4 and 5, we went to Johor Babru for a district conference.  I bought a nice swim suit because my old one which brought from home was broken.  The Elders were playing Ruby.  Elder and Sister Benson and Us went to new Japanese restaurant for a dinner.  I enjoyed my lam stewed dish and mom ordered a fish and chips plate.
It was very hard to call a taxi to our Church building.  The company only sent one taxi.  Two elders and us left the Church first.  We waited at the Bus Central for a hour before the two elders arrived.  Therefore, we took the six o'clock bus to Melaka.
The sister investigator who had a light stroke and the left hand could not rise up could rise her left arm half way now.  They may baptize on May 30.  Sister Mah try to teach her with Malay and showed the Tamil DVD General Conference talk to her.
Four Elders came our house and skype with their mothers.  One used the laptop and another used the Ipad.  This was the reason we could not skype you.  We will skype you tonight.
We saw Luann Adam(Clark) and her family at Elder Avery mother's home.  Elder Avery is a friend of their daughter(Heather).  It was a big surprise to us when Elder Avery told us that someone want ed to see the Senior couple.
Next Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, we shall be in Singapore for Zone Conference.  This will be the last time to see President and Sister Mains because they will go home at the end of June
Elder Earl will go home at June, he will attend the BYU Prov in August.  We have three well trained Elders in our Branch.  We hope to have more baptism.

Hi every one;

We wish all of you are doing well.  It is Spring already.  Mom was hit by Hay fever very bad two weeks ago.  We preferred to stay home instead of morning exercises.  We forgot the Morning walk and Tai Chi practicing because she had a very bad coughing.
Thank you for doing the Temple work for our ancestors, Christine. We will submit more names when we come home.  We would like to go back to China to seek our family tree, but we may go home first.  Then we can go back to China together.  Mission Department would like us to go home first.  We would like Adam and Crystal will make that trip too.
Two Missionaries were transferred out.  Two new Missionaries came in on Wednesday.  It was a smooth transfer.  They may bring the new sparks in our Branch.
Brother and Sister Witman are the big help to our Branch.  Sister Witman teaches the exercise and fitness class.  Brother Witman will hold a fire side on May 9, 2015 and teaches the lesson of " Your right as the consumers." He is a law professor from US and a guest Professor at Muti Media University here. He gave out a good lesson from New Testament of John chapter 9-10 Today.  I loved his teaching style.
Please send your email to us.  We would like to hear of you what are you doing.

Dear every one;
Easter and the General Conference had just gone.  On April 18, our branch had two baptisms at 6:00 PM.  We missed it because we had a Relief Society District Conference at Kuala Lumpur at the same day.  We and four sisters went together by bus at 11:00 AM.  Then we rode the train to the PJ Chapel.  We were on time this time at 3:30 PM.  I went up to the second floor and read my scripture.  At the meantime, Elder Thacher and Elder Badley came in my room and visited each other.  They are the senior couple and they served in Kuala Lumpur area.  Elder Badley will go hone in a week.  Elder Thacher will go home in June.  Two hours went by very fast.  We had a short visit with Sister Mains and just said Hello to President Mains.  They flied up here a night before.  Every other week, they are on the road.  Two weeks ago, Sister Mains was coughing very bad. We are glad that their health are holding up well now.  They set an good example for every Missionary to learn.
Sunday, we had two confirmations who was baptized Yesterday.  Sister Sally asked me to confirm her. I was so humble to serve her.
After the pot luck lunch, we held the Branch Counsel meeting which covered the Home teaching, increasing the Sacrament attendance,  reactive the members, invite the young men to serve Mission, encourage the members to pay the tithing because some members could not get the Temple Recommend for this reason.
Sister Sally gave a bag of present to us, and Brother Samuel handed us a bag of dried mushroom.  We thank them for their kindness.
Wednesday will be the transfer day for the Missionaries.  Three Missionaries may be transferred. It will be a busy day for us to providing the ride during the transfer day.
Moy,Amy, and Chris, thank you for the letter and pictures.  We are delighted to receive your letters and picture.

Is it all right that let the Optimist Club to use our parking lot and the rest room during the Strawberry Festival?  Please let me know.  Thank you.

April 4

Dear Every one;
These two weeks were very busy.  On April 4 and 5,  President and Sister Mains who is our Mission President visit our Branch.  He did the Missionaries interview, Temple Recommend renew and Patriarchal  blessing interview.  He had a full filled schedule in these two days.  I was filling in as the secretary for him.  At Saturday night we dropped off at their hotel and we were invited for a beautiful buffet dinner at the hotel with  Brother and sister Withman who he is a guess professor at the Multiple Media University for two months.  Then they will go to Hong Kong and a calling there.   We surely had a wonderful dinner with them.
April 6, and 7 we were at Johor Babru for a District Conference.  The Elders were playing Ruby on Monday afternoon and no body got hurt.  It was the business as usual on Wednesday but one sister Ruth called in sick.  We scheduled to visited her Tomorrow.
 We rang the door bell. Sister Ruth did not answer the door.  We assumed that she might be not home.  We left a note on the Home teaching lesson and visited another family.
We wanted to buy some banana for the family because they have three children.  When we were in the night market which is very popular in these areas, the father came in and were looking of us.  When he found us and told us that his wife was sick and the God sent us to their home.  We were hurry back to their home and found out that his wife's left hand could not rise.  We knew that she may have a  miner stroke.  The family only had a motor cycle, therefore, we helped her got into our car and took her to the local hospital.  It was 5:30 PM.  The emergency room was full of patients.   Tests, waited, tests, waited and at 10:45 PM, she had to stay at the hospital for further observation.  We took their children home then we went home too.
Father just got a new job and started working on Friday, his boss told him that he should come to work on Saturday morning.  When left the hospital, we went to their house and brought some clothes and we took the children to their mother's brother's home and stayed overnight there.  Without their father'd help, we could not to find the place.
We watched the General Conference on Sat, and Sunday.  It was a week late.

So long, and write to you again.

Hi every one;

How are you doing? Is the spring coming at your area yet?  We wish all of you are doing well.
Seven o'clock in the Morning is still dark over here.  Even though the day light saving time did not apply here.  The day time temperature is 80-85 degrees.

Did you turn in your income tax yet?  There is only a month to go.

Last Tuesday, when we were in the Missionary Training, guess what was  happen.  Steven who we took him home couple weeks ago came in the Church building.  What was a surprise to us.  He was walking without the shoes  Therefore his feet had a few blisters.  We asked him to wait for us when the training session was over.

We went to McDonald for lunch.  Then Elder Flynn and Elder Earl and us took him home.  On the way home, he asked us did not tell his mother.  Later on we found out that he ran away from caring home.It was a long walk from the caring home to the Church.  Elder Flynn called his older brother who would come to help him out when he was off.

The other miracle was a Sister who we had taught for a long time  that had a appointment at one O'clock.  We missed a turn and could not found her place because the ipad was not showing the map.  When we figured out, it was a hour late.  Elder Flynn and Elder Moala were teaching her.  She would like to be baptized on April 11, 2015.  We pray for her that she has faith in Jesus Christ.

Last Thursday, we went to KL for Mission Tour.  Elder and sister Fund came to Malaysia and visited all mission areas.  President and sister Mains were coming up too and delivered Adam's express mail to us.  It was thankful to have the Wells Fargo ATM card and the chip credit card.  We thanked Adam and Crystal for doing that.
During the Mission Tour, We saw many Missionaries who had served in our Melaka Branch.  Many of them were Zone leaders and we are proud of them.

Elder Funk told us that we should get up early in the Morning and follow the Missionary Hand Book guide line.  It will make a difference in our work.  He suggested that planning and scheduling is different one another.
This Sunday was our Fast Sunday.  We had many good testimonies from our members.

President Tan will attend the Presidency training for two weeks.  He asked me to presiding the Sacraments.

After the Chinese New Year, the weather is getting warmer, the rain and the thunderstorm is coming back too.  The rain is a heavy shower for a hour and the river level is getting high too.  Many fruits tree are flowering and start a new season.

Mission conference

Dear all;

We went to Singapore on Feb 23 to 25 for Zone Conference.Feb 24 was the West Malaysia and Singapore Young Missionaries training.  Our Senior Couple would be on Wednesday.  After the conference, eight couples went to a Mexican Restaurant for dinner.  We ordered the almond fish dish.  They ran out of almond instead of cheese.  It was tasted very good.  On Thursday morning, we called uncle Huang and Sandra out for lunch. The pot of spare rib with rice was my choice.  It tasted very good. Then we were shopping a swimming pant for me because my old one was broken.  There were three for $14.50.  Sister Mah bought two shirts for $18.00.  They dropped us off at the bus station and chat for 30 minutes before we said good bye.  The bus left at 4:00 PM.  We arrived at Melaka Sentral at 8:30 PM.  It was little late and desired to have dinner at the restaurant.

On March 3 four missionaries and us will go up to Kuala Lumpur for the Missionary Tour.  Elder and Sister Funk will meet with us from 11:10 to 4:00 PM.  We shall stay one night at Elder and Sister Hadley's Apartment.  They will give us a tour to Kuala Lumpur then we shall be back to Melaka on Friday.

On March 1, we had our Branch Conference.  President Dass, Curtis and Ee and Elder and Sister Thatcher  and all District Leaders greatwere here.  The Conference was  great.
On March 6, it marks our nine months service in Malaysia,  People are very friendly and diligent.  They are willing to help us.  We really  appreciate their kindness.

The weather gets warmer each day.  It is a swimming time when time is permitted.

Thank you and write to you next week.

Feb 21

Dear All;

Last Friday night, we delivered the cookies that Elder Flynn and Earl made it for the members to Steven.  We helped them to move into another house two months ago.  He had little mental problem and his mother was blind.  He have two brothers live near by them.  He called the Elders 30 minutes before we got in the car.  Therefore, we assumed that he would be home.  When we arrived his house, his mother came out and told us that he was there.  His mother gave her two sons phone number but no one answered the phone.  She worried her son and asked to call police.  We tell her to wait for a while before to call.  We left Steven's house and and delivered the cookies to another investigator.Then we wanted to see brother Bong Joon Lai who lived by the airport.  At the first time, we missed a turn, and I had turned back and made the right turThe traffic were very busy.  We were heading to South West direction.  Elder Flynn spotted a man was walking on the side of the road and recognized that was Steven.  I pulled in a drive way.  Two Elders got out the car and walked to Steven.  The good thing was that Steven remembered two Elders and eed and let us took him home.  It took 20 minutes before arrived his home.  We were so glad that we ran into him.and brought him home.  His mother would have a good night sleep.  It was a miracle for us.
Sister Mah and I helped sister Ruth to visit her son who wanted to become a Priest from other Church.  We called him but he was not at home but would be back after 3:30 PM.  We agreed to be back at that time. We dropped sister Ruth off at brother Larry's house for a visit  and would pick her up at 3:30. to meet her son again.

We went to friend's for lunch, we stayed there unti 3:15.  Siter Julia and her daughter came too.

We went back to sister Ruth's son  home.  We had a good talk. Sister Ruth's husband was pass away last November and his son moved to the Church and lived there.  His mother so worried about him and he did not answered any phone call from her.  The reason is because she called too much.  We did make an appointment with him in four weeks.  We hope that they will communicate  again.
I met a senior couple(Malaysian Chinese) brother and sister Lee who served the Mission two year ago.  Brother Lee gave me a great encouragement about the missionary work and felt much better.

Chinese New Year was great but the missionary work is quiet too. It would pick up again.

Tomorrow the Missionaries will go to Singapore for the Zone Conference again.  We may see Sandra and Huang in Singapore.

It is time to quit and see you next week.

February 17

Hi, every one;
We guessed that you might have a very nice Valentine day.  We had a painting Church's three walls working party.  There were sister Thess, sister Julia and her son-Justin and her daughter-Juli Anne, four Elders--Earl,Flynn,Lalemant and Moala, senior couple--Elder and sister Mah.  Sister Thess and us went to a paint shop and brought two drums of paint. It was 11:30 when we went back to Church.  There were four paint containers  and six rollers.  We got twelve sections of wall done and called quit.  The weather was nice and hot.  There will be 18 more section to go. Then we enjoyed the lunch which provided by sister Thess.  Curry Chicken and spicy beef and steamed rice.
Monday we went down to Johor Bahru for a District Conference, the Elders were playing basket ball and badminton.  Even though there is very nice swim pool in apartment complex.  They knew the rule and didn't pay any attention to it.
On Tuesday, we had the District Training from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM.  We were focusing on the Chapter nine- how to find people to teach.We had our lunch at a Pasta Restaurant.  President and Sister Schollenburger will go back to Utah on 18, 2015.  We appreciated their hospitality to let us stay at their apartment during the District Conference.  Elder and Sister Benson will replace them after they left.
These two weeks were the harder part in my mission,  I felt that I couldn't reach my goal.  God would help me out of water.  Since I was called as the Elder Quorum President,  I could not find any Counselors to call.  The released Elder Quorum President told me that he will transfer back to Melaka and work here.  So I submitted his name to President Tan.  He agreed.  I submitted his name to the KL District President for approved.
The Chinese New Year is a big event in Melaka, All supper Markets and the Street were decorated in the Year of Goat.  People filled up every where.  Oh, it is bigger than Indian New year.  We shall see the big fire work every where.

I have go to swimming now and write you later.

Feb 3

Dear every One;

It was a strange week since we were here.  We had a phone call that one of the Brother who was passed away on Wednesday Morning.  All six Missionaries went to the brother house.   We believed this was the first one for all of us.  We talked to the Sister what was her thinking.   The cementary plot, coffin, transportation,Chapel for the service, the suit, the time for the service.  We helped her wrote down every step that we had to do.  He was an Indian and had not gone to the temple yet.  A nice suit was a good one.
It finished in two days.  We visited the sister on last Sunday and she had some friends and relatives with her.  She will go back to work on Wednesday.
We had a leadership training meeting at KL at 4:00 PM.  We left the Melaka Bus Station at 1:00 PM.  We were late when we arrived at the Church.  The reason was the traffic was heavy and rode two trains from the bus station.  Six people went together. If we  left at 12:00 Noon,  we should be on time.  We came home at 10:00 PM.  It was a good training program.  President Mains was there and Sister Mains stayed at the KL Hotel.  We did not meet her but we shall see her at Singapore Zone Conference on Feb 23, 2015.

We hope Adam and Crystal will mail our cards out so we can pick it up at  the Zone Conference which will be in  in two weeks.  Thank you for doing that.

Thank you for Amy and Chris update letter.  We really enjoyed to read them.

Happy Chinese New Year and wish all of you are well and healthy.

The attendance of Sacrament service were less because President Tan was not here this week.  He provided to many members a ride to church when he was conducting the meeting.  His councilor Brother Tenneysen presided the meeting and Elder Cocq was conducting. We were doing well. The transportation is a big problem here.  President Tan picked them up and after meeting send them back home.  He set a good example for us.
Elder Badley who came from Idaho gave a presentation to the YM and YW about his airplane which was catching fire 20 year ago.  Because he followed his instructors teaching manual. (1) Don't give up contol. (2) Don't hurt youself. (3) Don't hurt anybody. (4) The pane  is expandable.  He was survived.  He shared his exprience and  encouraged the YM and YW prepared themselves to serve a Mission when the time come..
Sister Mah and I inspected the Elders Apartment.  The Elders were doing a great job to keep every area cleaned and organized.  Even Sister Mah gave them a high five.
This Monday morning, my blood sugar was very low and the reading was 49.  I was hurry to eat  some sugary food.  It was unusual why it was so low.  It is back to normal now.
We had a family home evening with Sister Jennifer and her family.  There were her six children, her husband, a couple friends, then one more her husband friend, then 6 more friend came in.  Elder Morola gave a lesson out but some people did not pay any attention to him.  Some were smoking and drinking beer and had a conversation..  After the dinner, we taught her daughter Maryann about the baptism and set a appointment next time when we could teach her at quiet condition.  We thanked for the tasteful seafood dinner and dropped the Missionaries off at their apartment then we went home at 9:30 PM.
The bigger reward that was a brother who read the miracle of forgiveness which Amy sent it to me gave strong testimony after he read it. We felt his heart was changing.  It is a beautiful feeling for us.
Elder Earl and Elder Flynn and us visited a sister and her three young sons.  The twin are 17 years old and the younger is 14 year old.  They are less active family. We encourage them to read the scriptures and attend the Sacrament meeting.  Elders played some games with them after each visit.  They accept the Elders very well.

We are very happy that you are all doing well.

Hi everyone;

It couldn't believe that January 2015 is over two third of it.  Hope every thing will be good to you.
What was good news of Crystal that she was on the honor roll at LBCC.  Congratulation from us.  Adam engaged the primary and choir.  These are the great services.  We  love what you are doing now and hope you are doing well at OSU too.
We had a family home evening at  sister Pedtra home who is coming from Germany.  She invited her neighbor-- the Yang's family.  We had Elder Cocq who is from France, Elder Earl who is from Utah and Mandarin speaking,  Elder and Sister Mah and The Ho's family--Brother and sister David Ho, two daughters--Anna and Rachel and the new born grand daughter--Lisell whose mother is Anna.
After the blessing of food, we enjoyed Sister Pedtra's cooking.  She did cook these foods by a small electric stove.  She is a wonderful sister.  Elder Mah and Sister Mah shared the Proclamation to the World to the Yang's family.  They felt the true and the value of the family are very important to their home too.  Recently they attended the Methodist Church.  Mr. Yang and I have some thing in common because he love Hi-Fi stereo and a Hi-Fi Stereo Writer  for some magazines in Malaysia.
We had a good time with the Yang's family.  We thanked the Ho's family who came to participate this meeting.  We invited the Yang's family to come again and they said yes.  The Yang's only had a 10 years old son.
When left sister Pedtra home, I asked that the kitchen lighting fixed yet?
She saidit is not.  There was the step ladder in her home.  I just replaced a new tube and that was done.
Sister Mah used the angry log scale to help one brother controlled his temper.  I felt a little hesitate .  On Saturday when we went back to deliver a letter which wrote to express their appreciation to the members by Elder Cocq and Elder Morola, his wife told us that he did not have short temper for two days.  It seemed working that we are on the right track.
On January 31, we shall go up to KL for the leaderships training and shall be back at the same night.  It takes 2 1/2 hours for the Bus ride.
On February 23 to 25, we shall be in Singapore for the Zone Conference.  The hardest part will be passing the immigration boarder.  It took 3 1/2 hours when we came back from Singapore because there were too many people coming home.
There is not too much rain yet.  It is good for painting the walls at the Church.  This will be the next project for us to do.  We are doing very well and Elder Mah had lost seven pounds to keep fit.  Well, so long.

January 11

Dear All;

We had a moving service project for a none member family.  Mother is blind and the younger brother has mental problem.  The new house is located at a newer neighborhood and was bought by her two older sons.  When we moved every things to the moving truck,  the younger brother refused to move.  After we moved his belongings to the truck, he got them back with him.  At the ending he let us moved his bed and some bags, but he sat with his bags at the porch area and did not want to move at all.  The family left him there and would take care him later.

We helped them unload the truck and reassembled  the beds in their room.  Our mission was completed. The older brother invited us to Pizza Hut for Lunch.  This was the best pizza that I had since came to Singapore Mission.  I thanked for the lunch and wished they would solve their brother's problem.

We visited some members on the routine basic.  Some were home, but some were not.
We baked some cookie for some members families to express our appreciation.  Frankly, this was my first time to make cookie.  I got the recipe from the internet.  Elder Morala, Elder Earl and I followed the instruction.  There were the beautiful chocolate chips cookie coming out from the oven.  Sister Mah just played the piano.  We packed them in the plates which were depending the family size.  After we cleaned up the mess, we were delivered the cookie to the assigned families. It was fun for the cookie making.
When we were cooking our lunch on Saturday Afternoon,  we heard a knot on the door.  There were sister Flora and Brother Dass at the front door.  Brother Dass who is an investigrator and is not baptized yet expressed me to give a priesthood blessing for his sicking wife.  We agreed to do that at 8:00 PM when he is out of work.  I informed the Elders would come with me at that time.  They agreed with us.  I ended up to do this by myself because they engaged in some appointment.
We went over her home 30 minutes earlier and talked to them.  We found out  that she had diabetes.  We explained to her about the low blood sugar reaction and wanted her family member to help her in this situation.
Sunday Sacrament service was a good one.  We had 41 attendants.

We have to go and talk to you again.

December 28 chris mains visit

December 28
Boy oh boy, it were very busy last two weeks.  Chris's family came and made a special trip by bus from Singapore to Melaka on Dec 14 to 16, 2014.  We met with them at Singapore on Dec 12 after the Zone Conference.  Uncle Huang bought a good Pei King Duck dinner for us.  We thought that we invited him for dinner with us but ending up that he paid the dinner.  We appreciated for his hospitality.

We really enjoyed Chris's family here and thanked for their effort that we could meet at the other side of world.

A local senior couple who is the Grand parents of Elder Lee that  he is serving the Toronto Canada Mission in our Melaka Branch were our touring guide.  We met them at the Clock Tower at the downtown Melaka.  We had a lot of fun and tried the Chicken rice ball lunch at the Jonker Walk Area.

On Dec 11, we sent two Elders to the Bus Station and picked two Elders on Thursday because it is the transfer month.

On Dec 21, 2014 we had a baptism for a Napa young man and confirmed at the Sacrament meeting at the same day.  Elder Mah performed this ordination.

Christmas Caroling was at the Jonker walk.  We sang many songs.  We had many visitations and caroling during these  two weeks.  We loved to meet many members and investigators.

We wish you will have a Happy New Year.

December 1
Dear All,

Last Monday, we visited the Melaka Zoo since June. It was a small area that we could cover in two hours. There was a birds' show at 11:00AM.  It was fun to watch it.  They trained the bird to perform some math problem and picked the right alphabet.  If you held a  $10.00 on hand, the bird would fly to you and beaded the money from you flow back to his master.  The many kind of birds performed the shows.  It was because Today was a holiday, there were filled with many small children.  We saw the Monkeys, snakes, elephants, lions, tiger, deer, buffalo,etc....
There was a built in river walk a way.  On the other side of the river, a beautiful golf court. We went home around 1:00 PM and had our lunch at McDonald.

This week, some appointment were canceled.  It wasn't a busy week because that.  We invited a less active family to attend the Sacrament.  They came this Sunday.  We were glad to see them.

We invited four Elders for the Thanksgiving dinner.  They were haply for our baked chicken.

Love
