Tuesday, we had a regular district meeting. This were Elder Daw who was the Zone leader and Elder Isberto last day at Melaka. Tomorrow, they will serve other area. We went out and had the chicken ball rice lunch where was very closed to the Elders' Apartment. The half of cooked and deboned chicken served with fifty small rice ball for six persons. I bought another half chicken for them. Every one enjoyed the lunch. Then we visited a Sister who lived not very far from the restaurant. We tried to teach her father, sisters and brothers the missionary lesson.
It was a very busy Wednesday. The reason was that it was Missionary transferring week. This time two new Missionaries came in and our two Missionaries went out too. At 6:00 AM, we picked up Elder Isberto who transferred to Puching. First he went up to Kuala Lumpur by bus and took the flight at Noon to Puching. Elder Daw who went to Singapore First Ward by bus and left at 10:00 AM.
Elder Wright came from Kuala Lumpur at 1:00 PM. Elder Moala was coming from Singapore and came in at 4:00 PM. His bike will be shipped next week.
Some appointment were cancelled on Thursday and Friday. We went to the Downtown Melaka and wanted to shipp Elder Isberto's bike to Puching. The City Link was moved and we spent 2 hours to locate another one. It was closedat 4:30 PM. We decided to ship it on Monday Morning. Elder Moala told us that the best way for Elder Isberto to buy a bike there and sell his bike here because the Church would reimburse the shipping from West to East Malaysia. The Church would reimburse the shipping from West to West area.
We went up to Kuala Lumpur on Saturday 10:30 AM by bus. The parking lot was full and we had to find a parking space for our car. It was ending in a parking lot which paid by hourly. We only had eight minutes left to get on the bus. The ride was very smooth, but it was raining when we got off the bus. We took the subway with one transfer. We walked a long and raining distance to the Church Building.
We attended the 3:00 and 6:00 meeting. Elder and Sister Gong who is Area seventy is presiding. President Dass who is the District President is conducting. Elder and Sister Tanner and Elder and Sister Gilson came from Salt Lake this Morning. President and Sister Mains is our Singapore Mission President
After the night meeting, Elder and Sister Hadley took us to the home and stayed overnight. Elder and Sister Hadley prepared a wonderful breakfast for us. They served mango, Asia pear, Malaysia banana, Chinese Ha -mie Mellon, Toasted French bread. The Sunday Morning traffic was few. We did not have any delay to meeting building. after general conference meeting, there were training for young men and young women and priesthood session. The last meeting was our Missionary. They all bore meaningful testimonies by the speakers.
After the meeting, we had informed that our chatter bus was waiting for us at the front door. We just got on the bus and did not walk a long way to catch the subway. But the bus stopped at some rest area and let us enjoyed our late lunch. The bus was very old and I wondered that could it take us home? It worked all right and the drive dropped off our members at different places without any problem.
The parking ticket was $18.00 RM. It was too bad. After we dropped off the Elders at the Apartment, we were happy to go home and rested for the Conference.
We shall go down to Johor Baru for Zone district conference on Wednesday and Thursday again.
Love
Kwong and Betty
